The IPDRG Upskill Training Programme is designed for medical coding professionals who want to advance their knowledge in Inpatient Coding using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, with a deep focus on MS-DRG/IR-DRG grouping and reimbursement logic.

Week 9-10: Chart Review & Real-time Coding
During these two weeks, students will engage in intensive hands-on practice with real inpatient charts, progressing from simple to complex cases. This critical phase transitions from theoretical knowledge to practical application in a supervised environment.
Daily Breakdown:
- Day 41-42: Simple case practice with basic medical conditions
- Day 43-45: Intermediate complexity cases with multiple diagnoses
- Day 46-47: Advanced case studies with comorbidities
- Day 48-50: Complex cases requiring detailed clinical correlation
Key Focus Areas:
- Neoplasms: Coding primary and secondary malignancies, complications of treatment
- Cardiac Procedures: CABG, valve replacements, catheterizations with proper sequencing
- Neurological Cases: Stroke, neurosurgical interventions, traumatic brain injuries
- Obstetrics: Delivery complications, cesarean sections, antepartum conditions
- Transplant Procedures: Pre-op evaluations, procedures, and post-transplant complications
Students will apply their knowledge of DRG assignments, make revisions based on clinical documentation, and understand the clinical correlation between diagnoses and procedures. This module builds critical thinking skills essential for accurate reimbursement optimization.

- Independently code complete inpatient charts with 90% accuracy
